From Lego to Meccano

A few more photos from the past few days. Scaffolding is now up and around the side of the house, this has made access to the back a bit tricky. Thankfully, those limbo-dancing lessons that I took have finally come in useful.

You can see that the builders have broken through the roof, ready to add the roof for the extension. Let's hope those blue skys continue until it's in place.

What we basically have is a huge climbing frame, right on our doorstep. Thankfully, the local chippy gangs’ brain cells haven’t deteriorated too much and they’ve stayed well away. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for next door’s cat.

We were awoken at 6am on Sunday morning to the sound of clanging, scrabbling and thumping. Tiddles had thought that jumping up to the roof would be a great idea. Alas, due to the angle of where our window is compared to where it was prevented me in launching a 50s cartoon style shoe at it.
